SUPER SOILS
‘Super Soils’ teaches schools, and students, how to dispose of food scraps in a more responsible manner. This program shows students the power of worms, and how composting your own food scraps at home or school can minimise their footprint. Students will have the opportunity to make 'compost in a jar,' learning how the right conditions can create a nutrient-rich resource, perfect for gardens and veggie patches.
Suitable for Year 4 - 12
WASTE OF KNOWLEDGE
Bring a trivia session to your very own classroom. In teams, students will be challenged to answer as many questions on waste and recycling as possible. The session involves video rounds, picture rounds, multiple choice and more - bound to bring a whole lot of fun to the class! Additional learning materials are supplied after the session for classes to further extend their knowledge.
Suitable for Year 4 - 12
HELLO, RHYS IKLE
Immerse your class in a story like no other! Students will meet Rhys Ikle, a lonely robot eager to create new friends and teach them about the journey of the yellow recycling bin. Travel along with the hero of our story, and help him build a real-life robot in class!
Learnings will be solidified through in class gamification.
Suitable for Year 2 - 3
DUMPSTER DIVING
A CONTAMINATION EXAMINATION
A hands on session where students and teachers get the chance to take a detailed look at the waste being generated in their school.
Led by Bin Thinking, students will examine contamination in their school bins and calculate how many resources can be diverted from landfill.
Students will compile a report with recommendations for their school to assist in resource recovery.
